(5) mcKISSic my bASS v (1) 2 Girls 1 Kupp
Noah Rickles (7-7)
Satwik Nandala, Vivaan Patel (13-1)
We saw perhaps one of the greatest comebacks in league history on Tuesday night, as Dallas Goedert and Cooper Kupp proceeded to blast off in Keshav’s face, propelling the 1-seed into the semi-finals and showing exactly that this team can win while playing with a deficit. I believe the outcome of this matchup is extremely predictable, Noah’s team will likely get thumped by the dual owners, just as he did in the regular season. Though Noah’s team played a strong round 1 against a tough opponent in a high scoring affair, and Patrick Mahomes is all the way back, Mark Andrew is a TD machine, James Robinson is good again after the firing of Urban Meyer, these should not be enough to defeat the juggernaut that the 1-seeds have built.
Prediction – mcKISSic my bASS: 120, 2 Girls 1 Kupp: 130
(2) Ye Ole Double Trey Hotel v. (3) This Justin: RIP Christian
Manoaj Kandiakounder (11-3)
Matt Lord (8-6)
The biggest headline from this matchup is the fact that a 2-seed finally won a playoff game. And frankly, both of these team played man-up, hit em’ in the mouth sort of gritty football. Manoaj won a gutsy matchup while being down a few points going into Tuesday night football, aided with the return of Jalen Hurts and taking a flyer on Freddie Swaim. Matt’s team thumped one of the better teams in the league towards the end of the regular season and had a statement victory that may aid him in reaching the finals. Both competitors have a chance at winning on any respective week, but frankly Manoaj’s week 16 matchups are vastly better, with players on better teams. Manoaj should have this win in the bag and head to the finals.
Prediction – Ye Ole Double Trey Hotel: 115, This Justin: RIP Christian: 100
(12) I Lost the Cause v. (10) Gay Rights
Vikas Molleti (3-11)
Arpan Bhavsar (6-8)
Here we are. Honestly, a thought crossed my mind about me potentially getting the punishment this year and getting ahead of a potential punishment but then realized that this is a Mickey Mouse league where words do not translate into actions. Fantasy football, like life, is a difficult mistress, and likewise should not even think that events that are ‘fair’ could even happen. This is exactly how the cards fall, as these are definitely not the worst teams in the league (though Arpan is pretty close). Vikas is 100% not the worst team in the league, but this guy has been in the consolation bracket so many times just to escape punishment, that maybe it’s time that the scales are balanced. Arpan has the inferior team, and with COVID running rampage on the Chiefs, he finds himself down the second best WR in the league. Though it would be funny to see Vikas finally get the punishment, this is not the year.
Prediction – I Lost the Cause: 100 Gay Rights : 95
