1. 2 Girls 1 Kupp (7-0)
Owner – Satwik Nandala, Vivaan Patel
Last Week – #1
In the biggest come write for the content machine moment, only one phrase can highlight exactly what this team is doing. “We’ve been riding the sails of mediocrity for the last 3 years. This is OUR time” – Vivaan ‘Madden Takes no Skill’ Patel. There are not enough accolades that describes this historic team, best start for a team, most points scored through the first half of the season, one of the most consistent team we’ve ever seen, etc. I feel comfortable crowning this team the regular season GOAT, however regular season success doesn’t necessarily translate into championship football.
Award – Top Score of the Week
2. DoubleTrey Hotel (5-2)
Owner – Manoaj Kandiakounder
Last Week – #2
Several things were on the line in week 7 for Manoaj, notably the coveted 2 seed, and a win in the battle of byemegeddon. This team managed to score 99 points, have zero bench points, and still have a winning record ATL in week 7. With Jerry Jeudy and Keenan Allen set to make appearances back into the starting lineup to replace Tyler Lockett, the WR depth is nearly unending when considering Russell Wilson’s potential return. Derrick Henry multi-TD games are pedestrian and should propel Manoaj to start the second half of the regular season with strength against Matt’s reeling squad that’s lost 4-straight weeks.
3. Travis Scott (5-2)
Owner – Ayush Jha
Last Week – #3
If there was ever a letdown spot on the season, it would be byemegeddon week 7 – only 9 points from the bench, nearly half the team on bye, and an important loss to a good opponent. Going 1-10 ATL is an anomaly, but stands as only the second time being sub-.500 ATL for the entire season. I don’t really expect problems moving forward as the roster talent and bye weeks should be easy to plug-and-chug. Big score opportunity can still be capitalized , and being tied for 3rd in average points scored leads to a better resume to make the playoffs as an expected top seed. Unfortunately, there cannot be other letdown spots, as an extremely important week 8 matchup against the best team in the league stands in the way of a 6-2 record.
4. mcKISSic MY bASS (4-3)
Owner – Noah Rickles
Last Week – #4
This team has come a really long way from the 0-2 start and a dismal 2-9 ATL and 4-7 ATL for week 1 and week 2 respectively. At the best team in the combined 4-3 and 3-4 club, Noah’s team is ranked below the top 3 teams in the league, but trends in the right direction with respect to record, points, and potential playoff seed. A few questions still linger for this team, most surprisingly at the quarterback position. It’s interesting to note that the Titans, Saints, and Ravens all make player appearances on Noah’s team, being 3 teams that are generally (maybe not true all the time) trending in the correct direction as well. Noah’s gaggle of players will be difficult to defeat once Tony Pollard returns from a week 8 bye. Should Ayush lose in week 8, this team has a chance to claim the 3-seed with some luck.
5. Waddle House (3-4)
Owner – Nikhil Ramesh
Last Week – #7
Like the 4th seeded team above, smoother winds have guided Ramesh to an excellent position in the standings, choosing to exert power in pure points to gain tiebreak dominance, rather than record. Maintaining a tiebreak lead over half of the league at 3-4 is a huge consideration especially when extrapolating a tight race for final seeds in the playoffs. If tides turn for the worse, I expect Ramesh to flounder his way into a 7 or 8 seed, however extreme depth at all positions should be able to overpower most opponents. Arpan’s 2nd worst ATL team is on the schedule for week 8, which is expected to catapult Ramesh to .500.
6. Cook out (3-4)
Owner – Keshav Ravi
Last Week – #8
A dirty win is a win nonetheless, as Keshav took the sub-.500 ATL win against Parth and Amit’s struggling team. Though looking like an anomaly of a week for Keshav – standing as the definition for consistency in the league – I think we chalk that up to some bye-week implications. Still, we cannot talk Keshav till we talk about the Bucs D/ST. This unit stands as a top 3 D/ST in the league, and scored more than 18 points in 2 of their last 7 games (however negative points in 2 games as well). For Keshav, week 7 can only be categorized as a lopsided performance from certain players, but will look to fill some more holes in what will likely be an uphill climb against Vikas’ big play potential team in week 8.
Award – Nikhil Ramesh D/ST of the Week
7. Brady 4Ever (2-5)
Owner – Parth Patel, Amit Dommeti
Last Week – #6
Seesawing into 11th place in the standings are Parth and Amit. Getting a read on this team has been difficult all season long, as on paper they have a strong roster. Scoring 7th in points for, averaging 110 points per game, and not scoring below the 90 points mark on the entire season are signs of a decently healthy team. However two 2-9 ATL showings, and one 3-8 ATL score hinder this team from stepping to the next level. Is there an air of misfortune for the dual owners…yes. Should this team likely be 3-4…yes. Week 8 will prove to be an extremely important matchup against Chinmay’s also seesawing team.
8. Foster the Peoples-Jones (3-4)
Owner – Chinmay Kulkarni
Last Week – #5
If I could describe this team with a mental image, it would be that of a slowly sinking ship. Yes, the captain of that ship has done a decent job of not getting everyone killed immediately, but in reality, all the passengers know they’re screwed. Chinmay is the guy that plays violin on the deck of the sinking Titanic to calm passengers. New leaks are springing up every week at the RB position, some unsolvable, and some fixed with the power of Flex Seal by throwing a shitty RB from the Rams or the Texans in the hole. This Cowboys heavy roster faced a predictable uphill climb in week 7, but a plethora of unanswered related-roster personnel questions (Geno Smith, Mark Ingram, Dak’s leg…) must fall into place in this critical week 8 matchup against Parth/Amit to keep the boat afloat for one more week.

9. Chasing my First Win (1-6)
Owner – Vikas Molleti
Last Week – #12
However bad a team may be, you cannot place a team with zero wins anywhere remotely near the middle of the rankings. This dilemma is no more – Vikas finally gets the first win of the season – and somehow remains within striking distance of Parth/Amit’s 2-5 11th ranked team. As a league, we are officially on Vikas-watch, averaging 113 points per game, scoring no less than 90 points on only two occasions, and scoring roughly 130 points in 3 separate weeks. It’s unfortunate that this team lost to Arpan, Chinmay, and Parth/Amit on their respective good weeks – three teams having less points for, and perpetually trending downwards or sideways. With Ramesh and Satwik/Vivaan still on the schedule, will there be enough time in the season to flex the power of the tiebreaker, and sneak into the playoffs?
Award – Team of the Week
10. Gay Rights (3-4)
Owner – Arpan Bhavsar
Last Week – #9
The real story for Arpan’s seesawing season can be told with the ATL stat. In six out of seven weeks, this team has either gone 11-0 ATL (2x), or 1-10 ATL (4x). I get that Arpan comes from the ‘set and forget’ school of fantasy management, but the single player acquisition on the season stands as the league low and illustrates the plethora of missed opportunities to bid $60 on players like Elijah Mitchell. Like many NFL pundits in media writing clickbaity articles titled – ‘does (insert player here) even like football’, it might be time to ask, ‘does Arpan even like Fantasy Football’. This team is on a 3-week skid, and projects to make that four with an uphill week 8 against Ramesh.
11. Score a TD Boston (3-4)
Owner – Nikhil Ramanan
Last Week – #11
Investing in several players from a singular NFL team is not an unheard strategy in fantasy football. Normally, it stems from several players from a good team, like the Rams, Cowboys, Chargers, etc. Ramanan, on the other hand, had five New York Giants players rostered in week 7, and projects to have four in week 8. We know the strategy of investing in one team hasn’t worked this year in our league (a la Panthers), but the New York Giants?? Ramanan still somehow manages to have winning weeks ATL and manage to lose 3-straight. Now that Vikas finally got his first win, have we found a replacement? The Giants play Kansas City on Monday Night Football – likewise Ramanan plays Noah…I’ve never heard anyone say ‘any given Monday’.
12. This Justin: I Love Justin (3-4)
Owner – Matt Lord
Last Week – #10
We started this power rankings with a quote from ‘Sundays are for the footballs’ – now we end with one as well, ‘The rankings haven’t come out yet because there are no words to describe my trashcan of a team’ – Matt Lord. Well Matt, you weren’t a dumpster fire, but instead you got deepthroated. There’re a few things truly wrong with this world – racism, the wage gap, and Matt Lord’s fantasy team. Since week 5, Matt is 2-31 combined ATL, and is 0-11 ATL on consecutive weeks. There’s always a silver-lining on each rainy day, and that happens to be scoring a nice 69 points consecutively in week 6 and 7. Now, the weekly Carolina Panthers update. The Panthers lost, and so did Matt – what a shocker. The Panthers play the Falcons in Week 8, and likewise, Matt plays Manoaj. I’ll likely be unloading the Brinks truck betting the Falcons this week, if you know.
